I was Joe Dispenza Coach and I used to be all in.
Joe Dispenza’s work promised transformation, coherence, and quantum leaps in health, wealth, and happiness. I studied it. I lived it. I coached it, facilitating weeklong retreats where hundreds gathered to rewire their brains and witness the impossible become possible.
And for a while, it worked. Kind of.
People had mystical moments. Tears flowed. Hearts opened. I witnessed genuine, unexplainable shifts that I still believe were real.
Me too. I created extraordinary experiences. I met Jay Shetty and Nick Vujicic. I travelled the world as a Joe Dispenza coach and team leader. I was living what looked like the dream from the outside.
But deep inside, something still didn’t feel whole. In them. And in me.
Even while leading Joe Dispenza’s meditations and facilitating his retreats, my body was giving me feedback I couldn’t ignore. Symptoms that wouldn’t resolve. Burnout that sleep didn’t fix. Emotional triggers that wouldn’t shift no matter how many hours I spent in elevated states. Patterns that kept repeating in the same relationships, the same dynamics, the same version of myself showing up despite everything I was doing to change.
And eventually I had to admit the truth.
I wasn’t healed.
Not fully.
Not deeply.
Not sustainably.
And I wasn’t the only one.
What I Noticed as a Joe Dispenza Coach: Why Brain Coherence Isn't Enough
Joe Dispenza’s model focuses on brainwave states, energy centres, and visualising new realities into being. It is compelling. The neuroscience is real. The experiences people have at those retreats are real.
But the model bypasses something fundamental.
The shadow. The unconscious. The incomplete emotional events stored in the body and the nervous system, still running their original frequency regardless of what state you reach in meditation.
You can become conscious of what you don’t want to be. You can recognise your triggers, your patterns, your resistance. You can hold elevated emotions for hours.
But you cannot meditate your way out of a suppressed emotion. You cannot visualise away pain you haven’t completed. You cannot override an incomplete emotional event with brain coherence alone.
The event is still there. Still broadcasting. Still generating the same patterns in your relationships, your body, your behaviour, your life.
That is not a failure of commitment or discipline. That is what happens when the work is operating one level above where the pattern actually lives.
What I Found When I Went Deeper
After my brother died, I had to go somewhere the elevated state practices couldn’t follow me.
Into the shadow. Into the parts of myself I had been meditating around for nearly two decades. Into the basement of my being, where the incomplete emotional events were still sitting exactly where they had always been, untouched by every retreat, every meditation, every healing session I had facilitated or participated in.
What I found there was not what I expected.
It was not darkness that needed to be escaped. It was unfinished business that needed to be completed.
Real transformation does not come from chasing elevated states until the opposite eventually stops coming. It comes from finding the incomplete emotional event underneath the pattern, correcting the perception that was encoded at the moment of the original experience, and collapsing the charge at the root.
When that happens, the pattern has nothing left to run on. Not because you reached a high enough state to override it. Because it has been completed at the level where it was stored.
That is what NeuroCognitive Rebalancing™ does. That is what finally worked. Not just for me. For the clients I now work with who have done years of Dispenza’s work, years of other modalities, and are still looping in the same patterns.
If You've Done the Work and Are Still Stuck
You are not broken. You are not failing. You are not someone for whom this work doesn’t apply.
You are running a model that was not built to reach the level where your patterns actually live.
I still respect what Joe Dispenza’s work opened in me. It was the door. But the door led somewhere his model wasn’t designed to go.
If you are done with the crash after the retreat high, done with the pattern that keeps returning no matter how elevated your state, done with knowing your pattern precisely and still not being free of it, this is the work that goes underneath all of that.
That is what a discovery call is for.
Or if you want to explore the group work, the Alchemy Immersion is where we go deeper into all of it together.
